Headquartered in Roseburg, Oregon, Roseburg Forest Products operates fifteen manufacturing facilities with nearly 4000 employees and is also responsible for managing 800,000 acres of land in California and Oregon. In 2004 Strategic Solutions NW was engaged to begin an assessment of the existing IT department, which at the time had problems delivering a stable and scalable infrastructure and a set of applications that met the needs of the business.

Roseburg Forest Products was retained in a multi-year effort with Strategic Solutions NW to "fix the IT problem". SSNW began by stabilizing the IT infrastructure; building and integrating corporate and mill applications which numbered in the 100's; and the development of a capable IT organization. To help ensure the success of this endeavor, SSNW partner Todd Rask became the acting CIO of Roseburg Forest Products and served in that capacity for over three years.

Major projects under this initiative began with upgrading their existing ERP by actually re-implementing JD Edward's EnterpriseOne ERP in addition to designing and implementing IT standards that spanned across the company. Roseburg Forest Products was satisfied with the work that SSNW accomplished such that in late 2006, when Roseburg purchased six composite panel plants, they contracted with Strategic Solutions NW to manage the transition of these plants into Roseburg Forest Products back office systems. The effort began in December of 2006, and by June of 2007 all six plants were finished with the conversion. This reorganization included all financial, sales, production, shipping, and plant maintenance functions.
